Can We Talk
Gay Peoples Chronicle
Kitchen?
Now just a minute. I know what you are all thinking another gourmet cooking column with recipes containing weird ingredients and difficult cooking techniqués WRONG! 'Can we talk Kitchen" is going to be a comprehensive coluna about the glories of food. That means there will, of course, be recipes but they will be delicious, quickly prepared, and devoid of procedures that only experienced kitchen queens know about. There is food prepared by restaurant kitchens, too, and this column will from time to time review selected restaurants and report all the good and not so good results. And for you who haven't the faintest notion about how any self-respecting kitchen should be equipped, we will endeavor to give some lists of necessary itens. Then there are those of you who don't know the difference between sauteeing and frying, between boiling and blanching, between dicing and mincing (I's not talking about walking here, my dears). So there will be explanations of basic cooking techniques that will enhance your kitchen skills so you can prepare an omelette instead of scrambled eggs. There is

absolutely nothing wrong with scrambled eggs but omelettes are far more elegant and versatile.
This column is appearing in the first issue of THE GAY PEOPLE'S CHRONICLE which happens to occur in February the month when we think of Valentine's Day which leads us to think of love and how wonderful it is when we are in love. Unfortunately, Cupid does not always shoot his arrow in the right direction and when the real thing isn't available, it's nice to know that there is a substitute. Yes, Yes I know there really is nothing that can replace a warm cuddly body on a cold wintery night, but scientists are telling us that there is an ingredient in chocolate that gives us the same feeling as being in love does. Now I don't expect anyone to go overboard and buy pounds and pounds of marvelous Godiva (anyway, who wants lots of zits), but I thought you all wight enjoy a lovely little recipe for a lovely little chocolate mousse that whips us in no time at all and tastes absolutely devine. Serve it to your own true love or to yours truly all by yourself you'll LOVE it!

Ask Michael
By Michael Johnson
This column is to help you, dear reader. I will try to answer any questions you might have. You might have questions about your sexuality or lack of it. I will deal with any problem that is gay oriented. This includes questions from men as well as women.
are:
Some of the questions you might ask What do I do with a dildo? Why should semen be treated as if it were poison? What happens if he ejaculates in my mouth?
Here are examples of possible questions, and the answers I would give:
"Dear Michael, I am a transexual going through the last phases of my operation, and I need a place to stay. Can you help me?"
My response might be, "Yes, I can help you. I know a realtor who is sensitive to needs such as yours." Or, "Call the Cleveland Gay/Lesbian hotline, (216) 651-7111. It offers a wealth of information. Yes, it even has a rental referral service.
Somebody might ask, "My lover and I communicate on every level except sexually. What should I do?"
I might say, "Do as I do. Get some oils and feathers, rub his body with the oils and use the feathers in the intimate areas of his body and then watch the fireworks."
"Where can I go to meet women who might have the same interests that I do?"
I would say,, Let me give you the number of the Women's Wholistic Center. They can plug you into a lot of sources where you might find what you seek."
Some of the resources available to help me answer your questions are in the legal, medical, and psychological fields. So I'll try to answer everything and anything, and will consult regularly with these professionals.
Let us not forget my Own invaluable opinion. It may be somewhat rosecolored and optimistic, but I will try to be practical as well as logical, while answer ing your questions.
An advice column can be a wonderful asset to a newspaper because it will give you, dear reader, some input into the paper and afford you anonymity in the process. This column will also be good for me. It will give me an opportuncultivate ity to share my ideas and opinions with you. So, dear reader, I ask, invite, implore, and beseech you to write to
